“I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven; and all this land that I have spoken of I give to your descendants and they shall inherit it forever” Exodus 32:13
Good news The founders of the Mobileye car safety device have topped the $1 billion mark with OrCam. Development of new eye drops could repair corneas and make glasses unnecessary. Israel leads the way in smart city technology with a world Innovation conference in Tel Aviv last month. Pray for continued progress and success.
Feast of Purim was celebrated on 1-2 March. Like Esther and Mordecai, we are here for such a time as this. Pray for the Church to be like them – don’t remain silent, be bold, speak for and plead on behalf of Israel.
Aliyah Today, many Jews in exile send money to Israel yet God wants them there in the Land with their wealth. God’s name is profaned when the Jews are scattered (Ezekiel 36:21). Pray for more to return from all nations.
Settlement of Land A new settlement called Amichai situated near Shiloh in Samaria is being built for those Jews evicted from the unauthorized settlement of Amona several years ago. The Judea & Samaria Sovereignty Movement seeks to apply Israeli sovereignty over the region. Many local Arabs would embrace the application of Israeli law over the area. Pray for the Jews to inherit ALL the Land promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Pray for more revelation in the Church of God’s plan and the Jews’ right to it.
Gaza Israel is blamed for “catastrophic” humanitarian situation by Bolivia’s UN Ambassador. Despite accusations, Israel continues to allow humanitarian aid and construction materials into Gaza. Three tunnels were discovered and destroyed in last three months. Pray for Gazans to challenge their Hamas leadership. Pray that terrorist leaders be toppled and replaced. Pray for the IDF as they deal with terror attacks and prepare for possible war in the North.
Syrian War The use of Russian stealth jets could alter the strategic balance in the conflict. Pray about Russia’s role in the war and continue to pray for the safety of Israel’s endangered northern borders.
US Embassy will move to Jerusalem by May as an Independence Day gift. The Consulate is being changed to Embassy status. Trump is invited to inaugurate. The PA is furious and warns of explosions. Pray for go ahead and protection. Pray for other nations to move their Embassy – depends on which Party is in power and internal politics.
India An Indian journalist based in Europe, addressed an anti-radical Islam, pro-Israel rally in Calcutta attended by an estimated 70,000 people. Praise for this and pray for India and other nations to boldly declare their support for Israel.
United Nations Despite Palestinian efforts, full membership continues to be effectively blocked by the USA. The UN does not have the authority to establish states and Palestinians are not in a position to declare statehood. Praise for US support of Israel and Pray for continual blocking of PA statehood and for all efforts to fail.
Europe The EU Parliament allowed hosting of the Palestinian extremist Omar Barghouti at a seminar on 28th February. By allowing the podium to be given to an anti-Israel and anti-peace activist, the European Parliament is directly undermining its own policy on anti-Semitism. Pray for exposure and downfall of the EU agenda.
PM Netanyahu – corruption allegations – new case of bribery with new witness. This is another attempt to remove him from office in the hope that a more liberal leader will take his place however, in light of the ongoing situation with Syria and the outbreak of a direct conflict with Iran at any time it is imperative to have a strong leader like Bibi in control of the country at this time. Any attempt to remove him will put the nation in extreme jeopardy as their enemies seize the opportunity in a time of political weakness to launch an attack. There have been 15 previous accusations made against him but they have all come to nothing. He is still popular with his Likud Party and public. Pray for truth to be revealed and God’s will to be done.

Notes on Israel Prayer Points for March 2018
Good News – technology – more than eighty municipal delegations from around the world converged on Tel Aviv in February for the Muni-Expo Urban Innovation conference.
Purim and Aliyah The Jews in Persia should not have been there as the land of Israel was open for them to return but too many decided that the comforts of exile were easier than the struggles of occupying their God-given land. Yet many of the Jews who remained in exile sent money to help the rebuilding of Israel, Jerusalem and the temple.
Gaza When UK Conservative Friends of Israel were given a tour of the tunnels CFI chair Stephen Crabb said “We were shocked by the sophisticated tunnel we saw leading into Israel. The fact that Hamas terrorists were just metres from an Israeli community is deeply worrying, and exemplifies the threats Israel faces on a daily basis. We in the UK can learn a great deal from Israel in the fight against terrorism, and we must do more to prevent international aid from being misappropriated in Gaza for these despicable activities”.
Syrian War This is a concern for Israel in particular which to date has been granted by Russia relative freedom of action in Syria’s skies in order to prevent the transfer of weaponry to Iranian proxy Hezbollah and, increasingly, to target permanent military infrastructure built by Iran.
US Embassy The Canadian Liberal government was quietly non-supportive but if the Conservatives came to power they would very much support Israel. In early December, Canada along with the Marshall Islands, Micronesia and Nauru, joined the US and Israel in voting against the UN General Assembly resolution to disavow Israel’s ties to Jerusalem. But then Ottawa abstained on the UN condemnation of Trump’s move later that month.
India Zionism is the Jewish liberation movement and it inspired the people of India, he told the crowd. When antiSemitism is on the rise in Europe and radical Islam attacks Jews and Israelis, hundreds of millions of Indians are standing with Israel, he stated. Banners stating support for Israel included, Jerusalem: Eternal Capital of Israel.
United Nations The USA is the only permanent member of the UN Security Council that opposes full UN membership for the Palestinians. The USA and Israel have historically held that the Palestinians should not make efforts to gain full membership at the UN before a resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has been achieved. In order to attain full membership at the UN, the Palestinians need at least nine members of the Security Council including all the permanent members to vote in favour of them becoming a full member. The five permanent members of the Security Council include the USA, France, the UK, Russia and China. Internationally accepted criteria for statehood include unified territory, capability of responsible governance and readiness to abide by international obligations. Judea & Samaria are controlled by Fatah that continues to promote and glorify terrorism – while Gaza is run by Hamas/Iran. Between Fatah and Hamas who oppose each other and vie for complete Palestinian rule, and with the Gaza-based terror groups indiscriminately lobbing rockets into Israel’s towns and building terrorist tunnels the Palestinians have a long way to go until they qualify for full membership in the UN.
Europe Barghouti has openly called for the destruction of the Jewish state and has compared the State of Israel to the Nazi regime. Both statements fall under the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance definition of antiSemitism which the European Parliament adopted in June 2017. On a positive note, 60 members of the EU parliament sent a letter on 24/2/18 to EU High Representative Federica Mogherini, urging her to classify all of Hezbollah as a terrorist entity. “…the EU policy cannot be based on a pretend division of this terrorist organization into a civilian and a military wing.”
PM Netanyahu The Zionist Union (Labour) party chief is calling for an election. However a survey revealed that if elections were held today, Likud would remain the largest party in the Knesset, followed by the centrist Yesh Atid, with Labour coming in third with just over half the seats of Likud. The mix of smaller parties would remain more or less as it is today, meaning it would still be easier to forge a right-wing coalition than a left-wing one.
